Trail Tuner AI ("we", "us") operates the Trail Tuner AI web application at trail-tuner.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We are committed to GDPR and UK Data Protection Act compliance.
2. Account Data
When you create an account we store your email address and a display name. Your password is hashed and managed by our authentication provider. You can request account deletion at any time, which removes all associated data.
3. Suspension Data
You provide rider profile information (weight, height, riding style, skill level), bike details (make, model, suspension components), and suspension settings. This data is private to your account and is never shared with other users. We use it to generate personalised suspension recommendations and track your setup history.
4. Strava Integration
If you choose to connect your Strava account, we request authorization to read your activity data (elapsed time and distance) and your gear (bikes) list. We use this data solely to track suspension service intervals based on riding hours and mileage. We do not store your activity routes, locations, or any activity content beyond the elapsed time, distance, and gear identifier. You may disconnect Strava at any time, which deletes your stored tokens and sync history.
Strava authentication tokens are stored securely and used only to fetch the data described above. We never share your Strava data with third parties.
5. Payment Data
Payments are processed by our payment provider (Wix Payments). We do not store your card details. We retain a record of your purchase (product, amount, date) to manage your subscription and access entitlements.
6. Email Communications
We may send you transactional emails (welcome, service reminders, account-related notifications) and, if you have not opted out, periodic engagement emails with suspension tips. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is removed within 30 days. Payment records may be retained longer for legal and tax compliance.
9. Your Rights
Under GDPR and UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us through the in-app support form.
